With its inviting courtyard adorned with vibrant red umbrellas, it’s an ideal spot for a relaxing lunch or dinner, enveloped by the sights and sounds of this beautiful locale.
Each visit to La Petite Table is an experience, as echoed by satisfied customers. Karen Fitts praises the consistent quality, whether indulging in a lunch or dinner menu, both equally exquisite. The attentive service complements the meal, with diners feeling the warmth of hospitality — "the waitress couldn’t have been better," she notes. The chilled wines perfectly selected to accompany the dishes add to the overall enjoyment.
Your senses will come alive as you explore their menu. From the delectable seafood risotto to the wonderfully smoked faux filet, the offerings reflect a skillful blend of local flavors and Italian influence. Grimbles 123 highlights the exceptional food quality, noting that while it may be labeled as a “brasserie,” the dining experience rivals that of fine dining. And let’s not overlook the dessert — a signature tiramisu that promises to transport you to dessert heaven.
The ambience further elevates the experience. Amidst the cherry blossoms and gentle breezes, it's not just about the food but also about sharing joyous moments with friends and family. Whether you’re seated under the red umbrellas or nestled inside, the setting enhances every bite.

Even in the rare instances of delay, staff members handle situations with grace, ensuring that customers leave feeling valued and satisfied, as noted by a grateful diner who received a complimentary espresso after a minor wait.

“ Never ever disappointed.. whether you decide on the lunch or dinner menu.. both are excellent.. sitting outside for lunch amongst the red umbrellas for shade today was just perfect.. the waitress couldn’t have been better.. the wine chilled just right and yet again chef - you smashed it ”
“ Loved it. Escalope Milanese fantastic. Duck very very good. Tiramisu excellent. Great location in the village square. Good service. Enjoyed and repeated. ”
“ This beautiful little bistro nestled in the centre of Assignan has everything you could want. Great food, friendly service and a superb location. We sat in the prettily appointed courtyard, underneath the red umbrellas. My wife and daughter ate from the set menu (seafood risotto and beef crostillant). I didn't fancy that and so had the faux filet (sirloin) which was smoked to perfection. We then all had the tiramisu, the Italian influence of the chef shining through! Everything we ate was magnificent - "brasserie" by name but fine dining in terms of food quality and appearance. One minor criticism - my a la carte dish took quite a lot longer to come to the table than my wife and daughters food. The servers were very apologetic and knocked my espresso of the bill as a thank you. We were on holiday so it really was no skin off our noses and is a very minor criticism, which the staff dealt with excellently and with good communication. Therefore, highly recommended (something didn't go perfectly and the staff were irreproachable in the way they dealt with it). ”
